A Healthy Mind in a Healthy Body

This class has three main objectives:

  1. It will integrate all three aspects of physical and mental fitness (exercise, nutrition, and attitude) leading participants to an independent and balanced lifestyle in their daily lives.
  2. It will also incorporate cultural elements of physical activity, such as traditional Greek dances.
  3. Finally, it will lead to a closing event and it will become the nucleus for the promotion of active participation and volunteerism in the Bay Area Greek communities, for the Athens Olympic Games of 2004.

When: Wednesdays, from 6:00 p.m.

Greek Dancing

In our Greek Dance Class, will teach you the most of the popular dances that you can dance at various Greek events.

When: Wednesdays, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Greek Cooking

This class is designed for all the lovers of Greek food. In addition to the well known dishes such as, moussaka, dolmathes, sweets such as baklava and kourabiethes, this class will present you with some less known recipes which will tantalize your appetite and make you feel like a real Greek god or goddess.

When: Saturdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Contemporary Spoken Greek

Come to study the contemporary Greek Language in relation to its historical origin and its usage in contemporary Greece. This course will also touch upon the influence of the Greek language on the English language.

When: Thursdays, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
