The Hellenic Heritage Museum Grand Opening
San Jose, California

The Hellenic Heritage Museum was officially opened by the Hellenic Heritage Institute in San Jose, California, on May 26, 2002. The museum is located in San Jose's municipal History Park, and the opening ceremonies took place as part of San Jose's Valley Heritage Festival.

His Eminence Metropolitan Anthony of San Francisco officiated at the opening ceremonies.

The grand opening of the museum was dedicated to the 2004 Athens Olympics, and a torch-relay signifying the Eternal Greek Spirit ran through the streets of San Jose during the ceremonies.

See the Hellenic Heritage Institute web-page for information about the museum, including its purpose, its address, and its own web-site.
